The space in Neve Shalom allowed me to stop the constant race against time, to breathe fresh air and to gaze at art from a different place, a place that is both peacefull and at the same time burning.
A place that combines art, community and politics, rich in all good and abundant in accents, identities, dialects and inspiring life experiences.
The pastoral landscape that overlooks the windows of the center invites introspection and raises existential questions about creation and political art on this land.
I enjoyed the pulsating feminine spirit and the generous hospitality of the center and the members of the Neve Shalom community.

It was for me an honor and a great pleasure to be able to start the creation of our project in this beautiful village with such a particular and fascinating story. I had a very positive week of work. I was welcomed by everybody. The little restaurant with super good humus and the owner was very kind. I had a wonderful meeting with the people of the village during our little workshop that gave me the possibility to know the people, to know their stories this was very rich as an artist. I was hosted by a wonderful family for dinner where I remember we had a very nice chat about all the situations of Israel and palestine.
The residency was fruitfull as a period of work also because its a peaceful village where an artist can really consitrate on his work ,he is able to be lonely with himself in the studio.
its absolutely an experience that I can recomaned when you are a young artist who is in need of finding inspiration in a peaceful come place with very nice people living.

My experience was very interesting and good, the Spice was comfortable and pleasant, the work and the meeting with the people was pleasant and welcoming, being in a village where there is no gender or religions or a certain language that dominates gave me Spice to think more deeply about the creation. Usually we create out of pain and I felt that I could create out of love and from a cleaner place.

"The stay at the spiritual center in Neve Shalom was an exciting and heart-expanding experience. Like visiting utopia for a moment and not wanting to return from it to reality outside. During our stay we met a variety of very special and generous people, interesting situations were created around us, dinners, meetings into the night, diving into deep conversations... The creation in such a place opens up new possibilities regarding the fixed perception of the complexity of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and is an experience in a new type of discourse and optimistic"

"Staying at the residency was a very unique experience. I remember that the meal with the residents was enriching and educational with a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. When we toured the gallery it was very interesting to see how the people and the community interact with each other and to discover that the village is full of life with shared activities and events. In the evening there were very interesting and in-depth conversations with the community I was excited to see the ability to accommodate both sides of our venue's story, I will definitely go back there again!”

"This was the first time I encountered the villge, the experience was moving and unifying. The people were sweet and enchanting, and I enjoyed being hosted by the families and welcoming them into my heart through my art. Meeting people who work on creating peace on a daily basis touched me deeply in many ways. As someone who grew up in these lands, speaks both languages, and knows the culture, it wasn't new to me, as I exist in the realms of paradox and coexistence and the beauty within them. Yet, it was still novel for me to encounter this in the artistic dimension. I didn't always feel that I could move freely under mental and cultural definitions. In the villge, there is something that happens in a very harmonious way, and it was truly special for me".
